mrfdn.com – Jika anda memiliki sebuah projekan web menggunakan nodejs, anda mungkin hendak menjalankannya pada sebuah server VPS.
Tetapi pada saat mengecek keberadaan package nodejs di repository ubuntu ternyata tidak ada.
Jangan khawatir, anda bisa instal nodejs secara manual. Alangkah lebih baik jika proses install nodejs ini dilakukan pada awal setup vps, bukan pada saat projekan sudah berjalan normal.
Berikut cara install NodeJS di Ubuntu server dengan manual step by step.
- Login ke server anda menggunakan ssh
- Update system ubuntu dengan perintah
apt update -y && apt upgrade -y - Sekarang
cdke tempat anda ingin install nodejs, disini saya memilih di/home/ - Buatlah sebuah folder di sini, lalu beri nama terserah, di sini saya menggunakan nama nodejs
mkdir nodejs - Kunjungi situs nodejs, lalu masuk ke download. Setelah itu pilih package Prebuild Binaries
- Copy link donload package nodejs, kemudian gunakan wget untuk download file tersebut di server. caranya paste di terminal dengan perintah
wget link-nodejs–wget https://nodejs.org/dist/v20.15.0/node-v20.15.0-linux-x64.tar.xz - Setelah selesai download extract file tar.xz tersebut di folder yang sama,
tar -xvf node-xxxxx - Sekarang masuk ke folder nodejs yang baru saja didownload, kalu masuk ke folder bin. Nah di folder ini kita terdapat file binary dari nodejs yang siap dieksekusi.
- Copy path foder
**/bin**tersebut ke environtment variable ubuntu. Caranya, ketik perintahpwd, lalu copy alamat folder nodejs, misalnya nodejs sekarang bisa diakses di/home/nodejs/node-xxxx/bin. - Buka / edit file environtment variabel
sudo nano /etc/environmentlalu paste di awal baris, lalu berikan tanda titik dua (:) sebagai pemisah antara environtment path yang lainnya. Misalnya jadinya satu bari saja seperti ini:PATH="/home/nodejs/node-xxxx/bin:/usr/local/sbin:/usr/local/bin" - Setelah itu save, lalu restart server.
- Sekarang server ubuntu anda sudah siap menjalankan nodejs.
